DR. STEVEN DICKERT, Chairman
Dr. Steven Dickert is a chiropractor, practicing at a private practice in Dayton, NJ and at Advanced Chiropractic Care, PC and Advanced Physical Therapy and Wellness Center, LLC in Lincoln Park, NJ. He is a graduate of State University of New York at Stony Brook where he received a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry. Steven received his Doctor of Chiropractic from New York Chiropractic College. He has served Bay Ridge Federal Credit Union in many roles since 1979.
GENE BRODY, BOARD TREaSURER/CHIEF STRATEGY OFFICER
Gene Brody has served as President/CEO of Bay Ridge Federal Credit Union from 1987-2017, where he now remains as Board Treasurer and Chief Strategy Officer. Gene started his service to our Credit Union as a volunteer in 1964. He first served as a member of our Supervisory Committee, and then was appointed to our Credit Committee. Gene was elected as a member of the Board of Directors in 1967, and soon became Secretary of the Board.
JOHN ABI-HABIB, Director
John Abi-Habib is the Chief Executive Officer of MSI Net & mCloudServ, a company that helps businesses adapt to the ever-changing climate that affects their technological needs. John holds a master’s degree in management information systems and computer science from Brooklyn College, and a bachelor’s degree in computer science and minors in accounting and ﬁnance. John served as Chair of the Economic Development Committee in South Brooklyn from 2002-2013, as counselor to several U.S. congressmen and women and as counselor to several NY State legislators.
ALAN BRODY, Director
Alan Brody practices law at Greenberg Traurig, focusing his practice on bankruptcy, corporate restricting, commercial insolvency and ﬁnancing. He received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Delaware and his Juris Doctor from New York Law School.
BRUCE BUTCHEN, Director/Chairman, Supervisory Committee
Bruce Butchen is the founder of the accounting ﬁrm BMB, PC. He received his bachelor’s degree from Brooklyn College and is a licensed CPA for both New York and New Jersey. Bruce provides tax planning, tax compliance and related accounting services to individuals and closely-held businesses.
CHARLES CAPETANAKIS, Supervisory Committee
Charles Capetanakis is a partner of Davidooff Hutcher & Citron LLP, a law and government relations ﬁrm. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from New York University and a Juris Doctor degree from the Fordham University School of Law. Charles has been elected to several public positions, including on New York City’s Board of Education (District 20) Community School Board, the New York State Project Finance Agency, the New York City Redistricting Commission and the New York State Municipal Bond Bank Agency and Tobacco Settlement Financing Corporation.
CHRISTINA TETTONIS, SUPERVISORY COMMITTEE
Christina Tettonis is honored to be the principal of The Hellenic Classical Charter School (HCCS) since 2007. The New York State Education Department designated HCCS as a reward school. It ranks among the top charter schools (Pre-K to 8) in New York City.
Christina is an active alumni fellow for The Cahn Fellows Program for Distinguished New York City Principals at Teachers College, Columbia University. She is also a Board of Trustee for the Brooklyn Public Library and a Board of Trustee for The Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College.
Christina was principal of Public School 170 for the NYC Department of Education from 2002- 2007 and Director of The Drug and Alcohol Abuse Prevention Program for Community School District 20 from 1997-2002. She began her public school career teaching students at Public School 186 and Public School 105 in Brooklyn, New York. Her first teaching position was at Holy Cross Parochial School.
Christina was born and raised in Brooklyn. She is the oldest daughter of Greek immigrant parents. She is married and has twin sons.
SCOTT MORRIS, CONSUMER DEBT COMPLIANCE CONSULTANT
Scott Morris is a Partner and the Chief Compliance Officer of Stephen Einstein & Associates, P.C. He practices creditors’ rights and legal debt collection law. Scott has worked extensively in matters involving the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the State Attorney General and state and local regulations, along with developing compliance management systems for both law ﬁrms and corporate entities. Scott earned his Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, in 2004 from New York Law School.
